Who We Are

The Kansai Youth Cricket Development Organization (KYCO) wasn’t started by a massive corporation or a distant sports franchise. We are an initiative built by people exactly like you—local parents, neighbors, and professionals who simply want to create a vibrant, safe, and exciting environment for our children to grow. We believe that youth sports should be a shared local asset where families connect, make memories, and support one another. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time, or you are looking to volunteer and meet fellow parents, we invite you to step onto the pitch and build this community with us. There is a place for everyone on our team.

A Global Game, A Local Family

Cricket is the second most popular sport in the entire world, played by millions across the globe. But here in Kansai, we are playing it with a distinctly local spirit. Our goal is to introduce our kids to this incredible game, giving them the skills, confidence, and athletic foundation to compete—and perhaps one day, proudly represent Japan on the global stage.

100% Free for Families

Every child deserves the chance to play, learn, and belong to a team, regardless of financial background. That is why KYCO is proud to operate at zero cost to players or parents. There are no registration fees and no monthly dues for our families. We are fueled entirely by community spirit, volunteer dedication, and local supporters who share our vision.

English On & Off the Pitch

At KYCO, we are preparing kids for the future in more ways than one. We pair our athletic training with a unique, fully integrated English language program.

On the Pitch: Players learn vital communication skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork in English during high-energy drills and matches.
Off the Pitch: We reinforce this learning with structured, fun community activities that make English a natural part of their lives, not just another school subject.

We are dedicated to developing the whole child, both as an athlete and as a future leader. By combining structured, high-energy cricket coaching across all of our age brackets—from Under-10s right up to Under-19s—with our dynamic "English on the Pitch" language curriculum, we do more than teach a sport. We build physical fitness, foster deep teamwork, and give our players the confidence to communicate and thrive globally.

To empower the youth of the Kansai region through the dynamic game of cricket, fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and unshakable confidence, while integrating unique language learning experiences directly on the pitch.

As a dedicated NPO Preparation Committee, our vision is to establish a lasting sporting foundation in Kansai. By actively partnering with local schools and PTAs, we aim to make cricket a beloved, highly accessible sport that brings neighborhoods together and shapes confident, globally-minded future leaders.
